Some fashion sketches

I do fashion sketches every once in a while when I'm bored. Will probably be doing more often

Still alive

What? I'm posting on here... crazy.
but I thought I share this
So lately I been hating everything in my closet ( I think we all do this every once in awhile) And I just wore my black skirt and I didn't want to wear my other one and my dresses are either really winter/dark or super SUPER bright (and some are getting too short! it's sad!) and it's just not the right season for either of those
So I was dreading getting dress but then lightning hit me.
I took my black dress slip and wore it over my bright blue dress.

Sorry for the crummy picture, I was on the fly.
It just look like a normal black dress with blue flare and bust. it was fantastic. no one noticed.
might post sometime what the blue dress looks like seperately

What I'm wearing
Black Dress Slip (JC Penny's, I'm just saying, buy one. they make you feel 20% more sexy)
Robin Egg/teal blue dress (Apt. 9, Kohl's)
Sweater (Mossimo Supply Co., handmedowns like most things in my closet)
Belt... I have not clue but it's awesome.
Black tights
They're heels... but they're basically gray flats (natural soul by naturalizer)

Expect more post here. COMING SOON: my Halloween costume (or my mask party outfit. which ever I get pictures of first.)

When In Rome...

Go tribal. Look! I'm wearing sandals! Crazy. Too bad I had to trade them for my chucks (which i love) because it was pouring outside. Oh well. Well this is something I threw together on the fly before class and I didnt have the camera so sorry for the crummy pictures. To bad because my eye make up was awesome and made me look my age haha

What I'm Wearing:
Brown Feathers with beads (Rue 21 etc!)
Blue blouse (A.n.a)
Elastic Belt (Sorry, part of a dress)
Jeans (Mudd from Kohl's)
Chime Necklace (have no clue)
Gladiator sandals (Arizona from JcPenny's)
generic gray sweatshirt
Black coat (Divided by H&M)

Totally did not trip

Sorry for the crummy pictures!

On a side note my dad actually really liked the feathers in my hair. It was sort of an accomplishment haha.

My New Favorite Things

I think I'm in love.
So while out and about, my friend Tessa, her mother, her brother, and I stopped at Payless (her brother and Tessa actually did need a new pair of shoes). So I saw these sassy heels on display in the front and melted haha. I was in the row looking for Tessa's shoes and the first thing I saw were these purple heels (they had them in this foxy red that I loved also but purple is slightly more practical haha) in my exact size. I showed them to her mom (because her mom is chill haha). And she said she couldn't walk in them so I tried them on and pranced around the store. Apparently my hips look really good when I walked XD. So I wasn't sure bout them because I didn't want to spend any before my birthday. They said I should get them as a birthday present for myself. They kept saying I should get them (they'd be $25 with the coupon they had and they were limited edition and they said I would never forgive myself if I didn't get them haha) I gave into peer pressure and bought them haha. It was nice to have everyone (including her brother and the store worker) say I SHOULD get them.
So far, haven't regretted it a single bit.

They are by Brash. (they are a lot more comfy then they look I promise haha)

All I can think about right now is how good they will look with my pineapple shirt haha

Summer in Spring

... It is spring right? haha who knows, but here in Southern California, since the rain has stopped it looks like it's going to be a straight shot into summer. It's already quite warm. So I wanted to wear something summery. It was one of those days I had nothing better to do then to dress up and play video games hahah but there is nothing wrong with walking around your house looking sassy c;

What I'm Wearing:
Pineapple shirt! ( it's a brand called workshop. but it was a gift so I don't really know anything bout it)
Beige shorts (by Catalina, yeah those were hand me downs haha)
Black undershirt (Dressed in White, ironic the shirt is black though)
Textured Tights (Rue 21 etc! )
Platform wedges (Rue 21 etc! )
Aviators (Liz Claiborne at JcPenny's )
Randumb navy belt
"ham" necklace (uhh... got it at the Del Mar Fair at a jewelry shop in one of those grab bags that was labeled for men -- my friend but a bunch of randumb ones -- and it's just a black necklace... with beads that spell out ham... I'm kinda fond of it for some strange reason haha)

I get stuck on that hammock.
I decided to just leave my hair natural and keep the make up simple. I only had mascara and blush on (and I practically live off eyeliner, but I wanted something sweet and fun and it was just too intense) and red cheeks are great stuff haha. the yellow shirt gives enough life to my face, don't need much more.
yeah I'm that white. but I thought this should a pretty good lay out of what I was wearing
I swore when I was younger I never wear waist highs or tuck in my shirt :I
But anyway, waist high's make your legs look longer which is always great.

The look is pretty simple to begin with but if it gets to be to much just untuck the shirt and throw off the heels and it still works ( I had to wear an undershirt because see through things should not be left to be see through)

Dress for... Fun

For some reason (am I going to start all of these like this?) some girls are scared of wearing dresses. Think it will confine them, or something silly like that. It took me awhile to want to wear dresses outside of going to church. Part of it was I didn't have any dresses that fit me (in more way then one). Secondly was because it slightly made me self conscious because I have total piano legs. But then I discovered heels. And the world was a better place. This dress is the most comfortable thing I have ever worn. Unfortunately it was getting a little short so I made it in to a shirt! I'll post bout it sometime.

EDIT: I hated this post so much that  deleted it haha

Freedom from the complex

For some reason people seem to think fashion means you have to be wearing a Mark Jacob's dress, a Chanel sweater, a pair Jimmie Choo heels, and accessories by Kate Spade. ...What? Okay, don't get me wrong, I think I'm in love with all these things but together? Heck no. Why do people think to be fashionable you have to have designers throw up on you? It just makes no sense. Sure these are all apart of popular fashion, which, I too, do appreciate, but let's be honest, how many of us can actually pull this off (in more ways then one). So I put this outfit together to kind of prove that the economy or the boundaries of society (yeah, I went there) don't hold back our fashion. Quite frankly it's all about style (I'll talk bout that another time)

Sorry most of the time I either know the store I got it at or the brand
So here I'm wearing:
A almost cerise, purple scarf (JcPenney's)
Black V neck Tee (Faded Glory)
Black coat ( Divided by H&M)
Dark blue faded jeans (Mudd)
High Tops (Rue 21 etc!) courtesy of Foxy in College my partner in crime
Steel Ring (sorry, one of kind. got it from someone who makes rings at a festival)
Heart Key bracelet (Sorry, got it at the Del Mar fair)

These were all things that I thought would probably be in just about any girl's (...or guy's) closet

I wasn't trying to be artistic with the b&w. the colors were just awful in the photo.
I promise I'll find a better picture spot
Like I said, I was aiming for simplicity. I had a shirt that would have gone with the scarf color wise but with the plain black tee I eliminated stuffy-ness. Also most of my clothes are dark colors but notice how I don't become a dark blob of doom. I wanted to keep the rest of my outfit simple while my scarf added color, depth and texture. And because my colors are either black or a dark blue nothing clashes. (although may I note, sometimes clashing is AWESOME... but not right now)

Yeah yeah I know... Waterfall scarf is so not from 2012 (2011/2010 maybe?). But seriously, who cares. What looked extremely good in the past either sticks around or comes back.

It's get cold in my classrooms sometime and is always freezing in my house so I wanted something I could pair with a light jacket. The Jacket also add some neutral texture.

I put this in here for a few reasons, one, my green eyeliner. I chose green because although it's hard to tell in these pictures the scarf has a lot of red in it. To accent that I used green eyeliner. Basic color wheel concept, learn it. The scarf because you can see the red in the high lights. Lastly my hair. I usually have my hair down but with the scarf it just would have gotten too busy. So I did a simple Gibson tuck. I've always been partial to messy hair... so it's messy. But note Its harder to keep in when it's messy. I'll say it once I'll say it again. Texture.
Short hair  = lots of bobby pins

... I talk too much

Fashion Expression

Hey.
For those who know me, you might be thinking... Fashion? And I'm here to say heck yes fashion. I've sort of always considered myself a closet fashionista. But if you actually looked in my closet, you probably be surprised by how many heels I have ( I think I need more ). So that's part of the reason I'm making this blog, which I've wanted to do for awhile. Fashion Expression. That's what this blog is about. I may not have the newest clothes or the coolest clothes, and most of my clothes are worn down and leftovers from others. But that doesn't change anything. It can't hold back my love for fashion. So from now on, that's what I'll be striving to accomplish. Fashion Expression.
